Use of Videos to teach language

Students today are technologically connected .When you as a teacher use videos in the classroom it stimulates student interest but not only .If you are unaware of what video could do in your classroom ,how could you elevate your student's academic success and what types of videos you could use in your classroom then this blog will enlighten you .

There are many benefits to using videos in education as shown in several decades of research especially in the recent years with the development of technology.
Videos are easy to create and powerful if you wish to integrate technology into the classroom .Long lectures ,heavy textbooks ,boring activities seem outdated,especially when compared to the powerful engagement that videos can offer.

By exploiting the medium's power to deliver images and not only ,teacher can  engage students in problem solving and investigative activities. Videos help students practice media literacy and critical viewing skills. In addition they provide a common experience for students  to discuss.Teachers can also reach students with a variety of learning styles,especially visual learners and a variety of information acquisition styles.

Moreover,videos can easily showcase 3D images ,animations ,unique concepts and so on.They will also integrate experiments which are hard to perform in class or which can pose quite a lot of danger.On top of that ,videos have the ability to bring literature ,music ,history,and many other interesting things directly in front of the users  .It's fun,easy to do,refined and it does provide you with a very good value.Videos  offer a very flexible medium .It will provide you with an immense value in the long run if you  choose to use them as a learning tool .They also can help to integrate the outside world into the classroom and create authentic and fun lessons.

To conclude ,if you truly  want to obtain a better more immersive and meaningful learning experience for your students ,then you should definitely consider using videos in the classroom.

    every time I enter to see your posts I think when did I wrote that, your theme makes me think it is my own post and this weather has affected my brain system ;p. you made me think of videos in another dimension, they can really help you a lot in your future classes, especially with young children.
