Reflection on webinars
Having watched two long videos one after the other really got me super tired .But I have to say that I enjoyed particularly the second one ,that with the proverbs which was entertaining and interesting though. So another new term ,we already understood it from the videos that webinars are seminars conducted online via internet connection. To put it simply ,it is an online event, which connects individuals with viewers across the world,in our case the educator with the students.
The first video was about discovering grammar and grammar lesson planning .The main concern of that webinar class was how to make grammar less boring.I totally agree with the final thought that teachers do also want the self expression of grammar rules in communication.Which means that they also need the creative ability to combine vocabulary with the grammer aspects in their real life interactions.
The video about the proverbs and quotables really got my attention as the questions, quotations and sentences were very catchy and interesting. It made me think of the probable answer of the questions that the presenter showed.
The best thing about webinar classes is that the teacher can get a lot of replies from students at the same time. They make the meeting between the teacher and students possible at any time and place so we can reach a wider audience of students if we apply this way of teaching. The presenter ,which is us as teachers have the opportunity to use a variety of digital materials,to start polls, share desktop and the ability to watch presantations and videos .The use of tables ,keynotes or pictures just like we saw on the videos visualize the information and make it easier for understanding.
All in all ,I think webinars are convenient for both the teacher and student as the videos draw more attention and the participation of the students is omnipresent. This is why this format is becoming more and more popular every year . Thank You!
I do agree with you when you say it is very helpful to both students asd teachers, as you have the possibility to attend it despite being not physically there, and you have supported your idea through examples. Thank you!
